DTHS DCup Team 2021

DINTHILL DaCosta Cup team 2021 rocks impressive win to start DCup quarters

The prolific Dinthill DaCosta Cup team 2021 has continued their imperious form with impressive wins from all competitions contested thus far this season.

Dinthill advanced to the quarters in commanding fashion having topped their Zone H group in the first round with 16 points (5 Wins & 1 Draw). This Dinthill team is boosting in confidence that they will be serious contenders this season. With a steady consistent work ethic, coach Oniel Thomas’s lads are focused and intent to go all the way again despite having a young team.

The 2019 beaten finalists are on a path of development that might see them reaping the rewards of pure hard work and determination.

In fact, Dinthill last won the daCosta Cup title in 1981.

Adamant to break the title drought this season, the maroon and gold-clad Dinthill outfit seem determined to optimistically capture this elusive and coveted title.

President of the Dinthill Alumni Association Jamaica Mr. Joseph Small stated that “we the alumni body stands firm in support of the boys and will continue to provide the necessary framework and infrastructure needed to ensure that we succeed”, a profound statement as the Alumni had recently unveiled the “Linval Freeman” gym for the enhancement of the sports development program.

Dinthill won their first match in the quarter-final round of the DaCosta Cup football competition on the weekend and remains one of the only teams that are yet to concede a goal so far this season. It was a muted clash that saw them dismissing the Christiana outfit 4-0 at Drax Hall in St. Ann on December 11.

The scorers were Shevoughn Francis, Dayeshaniel Russell, Garey Mills, and Shamair Hutchinson.

The win has placed Dinthill at the top of Group 1 on three points. Edwin Allen High is also on three points but trails Dinthill on goal difference. The other two teams in the group – William Knibb and Christiana – are yet to make an impression on the scorecard.

Their next quarter-final match kicks off today December 14, against the William Knibb High School.
