Amidst the global pandemic that has crippled the world, the DTHS Alumni Association Jamaica makes a stern COVID-19 appeal to its Alumni Community for help during this troubling time.
The association stands tall to assure its Alma Mater that despite the troubling circumstances they will remain steadfast in enriching the lives of the Dinthill School Community. Holding true to the first lines of its Mission Statement.
This COVID-19 appeal has come at a time when the entire world has been forced to halt its operations as the pre-eminence of this Corona Virus sweep the nations. With the mandatory closure of all schools prematurely, the continuation of education must go on. Hence, the current need for more technology usage and the advent of a new paradigm shift for distance learning.
Therefore, this new phenomenon has created an overwhelming need for additional resources. In particular, technological devices such as tablets, laptops, internet dongles, modems, and or hot spot devices. The general lack of resources, however, makes this effort more difficult to bear.
Notwithstanding, the Jamaican Government’s mandate to provide the schools with some amount of tablets, we certainly can’t totally depend on this sole contribution. Therefore, we seek your kind support and consideration in this matter.
Join us as we seek to consistently make efforts to foster growth and development to our Alma Mater and most importantly to impress on the minds of this current cohort to consider benevolence and giving back apart of their holistic development.
