Dubbed the ‘Renaissance’ of a prolific traditional culture, the Dinthill Alumni Association Jamaica is making strides in an effort to make more of their presence felt . The school was recently blessed with two prominent stalwarts of the institution now serving the Alumni community.

The students were urged to stay committed and to capitalize on every opportunity that presents itself. Prominent Businessman Donovan Betancourt, the chairman of school affairs at Dinthill, delivered the message as he addressed the students during school devotion last week.

He was accompanied by another fellow outstanding past student of the Dinthill Technical High School as invitees to deliver inspirational speeches to the students. The other speaker, Superintendent of Police Richard Hylton advised the students that what they want to become in life starts at Dinthill, and urged them to pay attention to what they are being taught.

The planned series of activities will see more and more influence to the school community from the governing Alumni body. Motivational talk is part of a wider programme initiated by members of the Alumni Association to give back to the institution and to play a more active role in guiding the progress of the current cohort. 

Dinthill celebrated its 80th Anniversary last year and is now gearing towards building on the foundation of “Renewal: through, Integrity, Prosperity and Perseverance”.
