DTHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION | SCHOOL AFFAIRS 

MISSION

The Dinthill Technical High School Alumni Association Jamaica is specifically designed to maintain excellent rapport and committed sacrifices to enhance, elevate and bring value to the brand ‘Facta Non Verba’.

As we continue to grow by our motto we are indeed paving the way for our upcoming graduates to emulate this tradition via various programmes of engagement including the provision of grants, scholarships and infrastructural developments.

Since the Associations’ inception, the Dinthill Technical High School Association (DTHSAA) has supported efforts to improve access to quality education, and to promote the creation of viable opportunities to foster sustainable human and economic development.

In the valley of St. Thomas Ye Vale, Dinthill remains the most envied school with a host of extra-codal activities. There are thirty-nine (39) clubs and societies geared at training and developing leadership, social and interpersonal skills of our students, ensuring they are rounded citizens who are equipped with the necessary aptitude in volunteerism.

PROPOSED PROJECTS

  • Lighting of classrooms and property (proposal tendered to have each Alumni to adopt a block to commence process)
  • Chalkboards to be retrofitted
  • Student & Teacher bathroom facility repairs
  • Parameter fencing to be enhanced for the grade 7 Block (to address security concerns from the neighboring community)
  • Additional door fixtures to be added for classroom safety and protection of property
  • Pavilion to be retrofitted to accommodate a changing room facility for athletes and visitors

Welfare, Hospitality & Scholarship

The DTHS Alumni Association Jamaica purposes to continue it’s mandate with dignity and humility. The general concerns and genuine situations are testament to the cause of our existence. We will strive to develop and maintain welfare programs befitting to the role and responsibilities of the Association. Our goal is to be fully focused on the day-to-day operations of the institution and its governance. We will strive to unearth financial support for the development of our Alma Mater covering the length and breadth of our diaspora.
